 Article 9 Training: Rights, Dignity, and Safety

Students enrolled in this course will learn about the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities as well as their responsibility in helping to protect those rights. Students will be introduced to the importance of using positive behavior supports as well as learn the approved teaching techniques and prohibited techniques as outlined by Article 9

 Students enrolled in this AZ-DDD Mandatory training will learn proactive strategy skills to prevent, de-escalate, and safely manage behavioral emergencies using approved physical intervention techniques.  This certification is Valid for 3 years. 

 Students enrolled in this course will master life-saving CPR and First Aid techniques through hands-on training. This comprehensive program covers emergency response and AED usage, ensuring you are prepared for real-world medical emergencies. Upon completion, you will receive a nationally recognized 2-year certification. 

 Learn how to recognize, prevent, respond to, and report abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving individuals receiving services through the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). This course covers mandatory reporting requirements, identifying signs and risk factors, professional responsibilities, documentation, and best practices for protecting the health, safety, and rights of vulnerable individuals. Designed for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Direct Care Workers (DCWs), Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), supervisors, and DDD providers.
